Not all receivership assignments are the same or simple. To provide the most efficient and effective receivership services, John Thrasher has assembled an elite and seasoned team of professionals to support his receivership practice.

As the team leader, clients’ benefit from Mr. Thrasher’s extensive corporate experience with DuPont, Ford, ARCO and many middle market companies. He was responsible for financial reporting for a Ford division and in charge of mergers & acquisitions for a division of ARCO. John has served as CEO & COO for several middle market firms as well; and has a J.D., a financial degree, a CFP certification and a real estate license. This diversified experience means John knows what questions to ask, how to get things done, and how to effectively manage the receivership process.

LEGAL SUPPORT

Part of that process is leveraging the expertise of other experienced professionals to complement John’s extensive management background….including Byron Moldo of Ervin Cohen & Jessup (ECJ). Byron  Moldo is a member of John’s support team and is a partner in ECJ’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization Department. His practice areas include bankruptcy, assignments for the benefit of creditors, and all aspects of insolvency. Mr. Moldo previously served as a Chapter 7 and 11 Bankruptcy Trustee in the Central District of California for approximately ten years. In addition to being  Trustee, Mr. Moldo represents Receivers and Bankruptcy Trustees as well as creditors' committees and secured creditors. He also has been appointed as a Disbursing Agent and Chapter 11 Plan Confirmation Agent. He and his partners have worked with Receivers on assignments with the SEC, FTC, Franchise Tax Board.

REAL ESTATE SUPPORT

Phil Seymour of the Seymour Group is also a support team member.  The Seymour Group is comprised of highly experienced and successful real estate professionals who specialize in the sale of Fiduciary owned real estate assets. The Group has successfully handled the disposition of single family residences, residential income-apartments, multi-tenant /single tenant retail centers, office buildings and development sites. Phil Seymour, Managing Director for the Seymour Group has been in the business for over 29 years. Prior to starting the Seymour Group, he worked for some of the most prestigious real estate brokerage firms including Coldwell Banker, Prudential and Merrill Lynch Realty.
